A Christmas Visit

This week we have paid a visit to the Grandmas and Grandads of Holmcroft and Straven House Residential homes in Ilkley.

We walked all the way and sang all our favourite Christmas songs, as well as some others! The children’s favourite was definitely ‘Jingle Bells’ and, that old classic, ‘Baa Baa Black Sheep’!

It was lovely to see all the residents and wish them a Very Happy Christmas. We look forward to seeing them again next year.

It’s a Mystery!

It all started on 29th November when we arrived at pre-school and noticed that a strange little door had appeared in the Messy Room. It had a notice on the front saying ‘Little Helpers Wanted’ and a key hung up beside it.

On 30th November a pile of green glitter was left outside the door! How did it get there?

Today, the mystery appears to be solved. There is an elf outside the door sat in a safari jeep with more glitter on the floor. We think that he may have come through our mysterious door. He has the door key hung around his neck.

Pre-school Nativity & Party

This year’s pre-school Christmas party and Nativity play will be on Thursday 17th December. All pre-school children are invited to our Christmas party to arrive at the normal time of 9am. Parents, carers, friends and family are all invited to join us at 1.30pm for the Nativity play. A list will be posted, nearer the time, in the foyer for party food contributions. If we are all especially good, there may even be a special visitor popping by….!
